(ADDED) VALUE(S)
Googling stuff to show off your knowledge at parties that you don't enjoy. Throwing one another under the bus to save your jobs. Firing people of integrity for abiding by the law, for getting in your way, for being expensive, for not looking or sounding quite right, for making you feel slightly uncomfortable, for slight advantage. Overworking, undercutting, overlooking, underinforming and then discarding each other. Getting jobs by sucking, kissing, preening, knobbing, twatting etc. etc. It's why I'm gone and I can't come back.

PERSONA A L'AST
London's countless fried chicken shops. The subject, sometimes, of the kind of palaver my old city does so well. Known for the sameyness of the logos which belie the fact that they tend to be small, locally owned businesses. Of these brands, the ones which cause me to glance most sharply are the ones in which the smiling rooster is clutching a bucket of chicken, proudly cannibalistic. It was this that came to mind when I was getting some winter sun on my face in Tossa de Mar this weekend. The signage of one bar/restaurant there flips the notion of 'man cooks chicken and chicken is happy about it':
